What's on in Majorca: 20-25 February
The funfair returns to Palma on Saturday. The Fira del Ram Easter fair, which will last until 15 April, is at the Son Fusteret showground. Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" features an array of choirs plus musicians and soloists; it's at the Palacio de Congresos in Palma on Friday. The Lluc Naturesport fair is on Sunday.

Airbnb fined 300,000 euros by the Balearic government
Airbnb was informed on three occasions that there were breaches of Balearic legislation. The company has announced that it will be appealing against the fine.

A doubling of the number of four and five star hotels in Majorca
There are now 412 hotels with a four-star or four-star superior classification and 53 with a five-star rating.

£10,000 reward for information on British fugitive thought to be in Ibiza
Bradley Blundell may be using Ibiza as a place of safety. John Pordage was shot in the chest and died on 5 August 2017.
