Dear Sir,
Seeing in the news last week, the photos of the radiant faces of the first of 1000 German children invited here after the horrendous floods this summer where they live, with the general, noticeable reduction in overall German tourists coming to Majorca this year, I could not but feel this must do more good for the promotion of Majorca as a place than any TV adverts, promotion exhibitions, etc.

One must assume this event was given coverage on German national TV, newspapers there, etc. What a caring image of Majorca this must have projected, and for fear of sounding opportunist, their visit here, places they visited, reflected fun, etc., should have been filmed, for offering to be shown on German TV.

In fact, with the quiet winter ahead, why not invite another 1000 at Christmas during school holidays, with the right publicity, it can only help Majorca for next season.
