Dear Editor, I I noted Irene Taylor's remark the other day that she knew of no restaurant here on the island with a non–smoking section.
I refer you to our advertisement in the paper yesterday, Saturday, in which the text runs, in part: “We've got a smoking section, yes, but the rest of the restaurant is for non–smokers.

You can enjoy a smoke–free meal if you wish.” Somebody's got to make a start. Our hotel is essentially smoke–free as well, with only two rooms for smokers, and we attract many people just on that basis alone. We don't actively discriminate against smokers, just try to provide a haven for those folk who find a smoky atmosphere unpleasant.

Yours faithfully, George Scott
