Dear Sir,

I HAVE to agree with Eddie Mc Daid's letter regarding the touts in Palma Nova. My husband and I returned from Palma Nova on Saturday and our holiday was spoilt by the amount of ticket touts on just about every corner. They are extremely annoying and very rude. Most are dressed like beggars so, how are they going to convince anyone to buy a timeshare?

They should be driven from the streets immediately and if it's not illegal then Calvia should make it illegal! Surely they want to welcome tourists, not drive them away.

The only way to deter them as they follow you down the street (and they do!) is to either speak in Spanish or, if you can't, say you live on the island. They have no answer to that!
