Dear Sir,

I always said that I would never find myself writing in reply to an editorial but your artical on “cold weather payments to expats living in the Balearics” really angered me.

How the hell do pensioners believe that the are entitled to that payment when they moved here. I moved here two years ago with my family, knowing that I had to give up a few things that I had paid into all my working life. I now live in Majorca, I am a resident, work for a Spanish company, pay Spanish taxes. Maybe I should think about claiming “British dole money, as i think I am entitled to it.....NOT.So all you mature expats should shut up or pack up and go home and then moan about none payments and let us who want to live in a new environment quietly and work for a living get on with it.
