CRAFT FAIR

PALMA
BALEART 2006, open from 11.30am to 9pm at the Fairs Centre, Poligono de Llevant (near the GESA building). Runs until December 10 (Sunday). Many traditional crafts on sale.

CHRISTMAS MARKETS

PALMA
Big Christmas market in Plaza Major which will run until January 6. Lots of Christmas items, ranging from the traditional to the modern, will be on sale.

Christmas market now open in Plaza España with many items of interest on sale.

NATIVITY SCENES

PALMA
The city council's Nativity Scene will be open to the public from 9am-9pm weekdays, 10am-8pm Sundays and fiestas at the city hall in Plaza Cort. This Nativity Scene will be open until January 6.

Nativity Scene at the C & A Cultural Centre in Plaza Joan Carles 1, number 4 will be open to the public from 10am until 9pm. This scene will be open until January 22.

ART EXHIBITION

PALMA
Exhibition of 112 of Andy Warhol's works of art at the Es Baluard Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Paseo Mallorca on the sea front until January 14. Open 10am to 8pm, entrance fee 6 euros.

MARKETS

ISLANDWIDE
There will be markets starting at 8-9am in Ariany, Calonge, Campos, Consell, Inca, Portol, Ses Salines, Sant Joan, Sant Llorenc, S'Arenal, Pere Garau (Palma) and Santa Catalina (Palma).

PANTOMIME

CALVIA
The Bay Entertainers will perform Robinson Crusoe at 8pm at the recently restored Calvia theatre. Tickets are 10 euros for adults and 5 euros for children. The show continues until Sunday with performances at 8pm tomorrow, a matinee performance at 3pm on Saturday in addition to the 8pm performance, and a 4pm performance on Sunday.

JAZZ CONCERT

PALMA
Jazz concert by Geoff Frosell at the Hotel Saratoga, Paseo Mallorca 8, Palma. The Palma Jazz Quartet with Patti Ballinas. Entry is free.

MUSIC

PALMA
The Mystery Play of Elche will be performed at 8pm in Palma Cathedral. Sung in Catalan, it narrates the death, assumption and coronation of the Virgin. It is being performed in Palma to mark the 700th anniversary of the Cathedral.

CALA MILLOR
Concert on violin and harpsichord by Lluis Oliver and Ignasi Furio starting at 8pm in the Auditorium de Sa Maniga, Sala Assaig, Calle de Son Galta, 4. Free, part of the Winter in Majorca programme.

GUIDED TOUR

Guided hiking tour to Puig Sa Talaia. Average difficulty, duration 3 hours. Starts at 10am at the Iglesia Sant Jaume. Groups minimum 6 people, maximum 15. Free, part of the Winter in Majorca programme.
