A general is only as good as his troops, as they say. It's a pity that it is not the other way round. My advice to the military top brass in Britain is to have a long hard think about their future.

Let us look first at the so-called Senior Service.
After running up the white flag quicker than Lewis Hamilton, the Royal Navy 15 then proceeded to have their own show on Iranian TV and to cap it all they are allowed to sell their stories, which just further rubbed salt into already open wounds. No fear, the Navy's here, does strike a chord after the Iranian incident! Now the army. Well they deserve great credit for first announcing that Prince Harry would be going to Iraq, then saying they would think about it, then saying he will be going and then deciding that he would be better back in Britain.

Congratulations again. Apart from making themselves look complete idiots they have done much for their commander in chief.
Not to be outdone, the Royal Air Force allegedly instructed pilots to conduct suicide missions to meet their objectives.
Britain is righly proud of its armed services and their long tradition. British troops across the globe are doing a first rate job but unfortunately the people at the top are letting them down.
