I note that the Editor´s opinion, basically the same as mine, regarding the Spanish Presidency of Europe, was diametrically opposed to Mr Fleming´s. Mr Fleming will no doubt be pleased to know that Sra Maria Teresa de la Vega, Spanish vice-president and government spokes-person, is of the same opinion as himself.
She said, quote, entire generations of europeans will remember the past six months and like it or not, we have accomplished things that will be part of european history and finally this was the presidency that designed the strategy for Europe´s future economic stability.
If this is the case, would it not be wise if they forgot about Europe and put the same energy and determination into solving this country's problems?
