Three cheers

For the musicians of the Balearic Symphony Orchestra who gave a street concert outside Palma's Town Hall, instead of going on strike or working to rule, to protest against impending cuts in funding that threaten the very nature of an orchestra which throughout the Balearics plays everywhere as well as offering the popular Auditorium and Bellver Castle seasons. The BSO is a corner stone of musical life in the Balearics and any substantial funding cut will directly affect many other cultural activities.
