Pedro Barbadillo, Director of the Mallorca Film Commission, for the amazing work he and his team have done since the commission was founded just over a year ago.

Last year, the audio visual sector generated some 30 million euros for the local economy with a number of national and international films, TV series and advertisements being shot on the island.

This year, the Commission already has 60 million euros worth of projects on the table and is deeply involved with Europe's first marine film festival which is going to be taking place in Palma next month. The Commission appears to have put Majorca firmly on the map as an international film set which is good for the economy, jobs and tourism. By Humphrey Carter
