So for the first time in my lifetime from tomorrow night, Britain will no longer be a member of the Common Market, European Community or European Union. It sounds rather amazing but Britain is leaving. To be honest I am rather glad. After almost four years of uncertainty at least the country is now taking a bold step, I will not say forward because it is a step into the unknown, but it certainly marks an end and a beginning.

Trust us,we will not be embarrassed.Perhaps Spain,France,Germany would like to ask their citizens if they would want a referendum. You say Britain’s have a loathing of the EU,maybe,but certain EU members have a loathing of Britain. We accept we are out,that’s it ,move on.
Mr Little gives me the impression that he doesn’t understand how international trade works or what our share of the EU market is, as well as where the UK’s food comes from. Financial, digital and entertainment services aren’t transported using fossil fuels and as we tend to import more heavy goods than export them our contribution to climate change will remain the same, unless of course countries such as China refuse to sell us their wares. Maybe Brexit will convince people to stay at home which will do wonders for air pollution but will not be so beneficial to companies selling holidays that involve sports and bonding amongst friends.
Mr Little conveniently forgets to mention that the U.K. imports more from the EU than it exports to them, so, in theory it’s they who will be polluting more, not us. Also, just think of the benefits of us not driving around in the large, gas guzzling vehicles they sell to the U.K., or used to, before not being able to afford them due to Brexit.
Your lack of knowledge is shown up Mr. Moore by the statement “I doubt anyone was really surprised by the referendum result”. It was a total surprise! This is another weak, poorly thought out editorial that lacks depth and insight. Your reader(s) deserve better.
You spout some crap typical back street journalists we are the greatest country in the world and the eu will collapse now they can’t sponge of us anymore shame just think no more free houses ,benefits , free health care all gone now our own people will be put first , WE ARE GONE 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴
Everyone was surprised by the referendum result, none more so than the Brexiteers who had mostly given up hope. Rightly so as no one really expected 47 years of trade and cooperation to be so easily junked by a small band of loud shouters. Yes British companies will have to troop the world looking for new trading partners and new opportunities. At a time when the buzzword is climate change and we are all reducing carbon emissions our businessmen are supposed to move goods longer and longer distances across the planet. Ignore one of the world’s largest trading blocs on your doorstep young man, go boldly out there and do the deal of the century half way around the world. Then we can all pat ourselves on the back and say – Britain is great again. As a Brit of course I would like to see my country great again, but hearts do not rule politics and trade, heads do. Now we can only wait and see.
