Harmonie Ensemble presents the show 'Solo Adagios' with a selection of the most well-known and popular slow movements in the history of classical music. | Palma Auditorium
The Harmonie Ensemble is a group of professional musicians from Valencia who are members of orchestras and are also teachers at music conservatories.
There are 39 musicians in all - strings, wind, brass and percussion - and their conductor, Pascual Cabanes, is one of Spain’s top young conductors, having twice won the Caixabank orchestra competition in Valencia and worked with the Spanish National Orchestra.
In May last year, the ensemble were in Palma for a performance of ‘Four Seasons’. They are returning this May for a concert entitled ‘Solo Adagios’, only slow pieces of music taken from, for example, Dvorak’s New World Symphony (the first movement) and Grieg’s Peer Gynt.
