Ennio Morricone's score for 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' is one of the most recognisable film soundtracks ever.
He was responsible for the music for numerous other films, such as 'Once Upon a Time in America' and 'The Untouchables'. He died in 2020, aged 91.
Tribute will rightly be paid to him in a Palma concert by the Royal Film Concert Orchestra, which comes under the umbrella of Spain's Fundación Excelentia, a foundation for promoting different forms of classical music. It is one of three orchestras.
The concert will also pay homage to two living composers - Hans Zimmer ('Gladiator', 'Pirates of the Caribbean', for example) and John Williams, known for his scores for some of the biggest blockbusters of all time, such as 'Star Wars', 'Jaws' and 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind'; the list is almost endless.
