I wrote about No11 in Puerto Andratx and their excellent new menu last month, but their cocktails are also so good that they deserve a whole new column of their own… I really liked the idea that the staff get to create their own signature cocktails, so if you can’t decide you can ask them to bring you their favourite one. Anahi made “Pinky Promise” served in a wine glass and Andres made a blue coloured “Breaking Bad” which seems to be the most popular this season.

As Vicki (McLeod) and I went there on a hot evening, I asked for the most refreshing cocktail they have right now and I was brought Gin Basil Smash. Made with basil leaves, gin, fresh lemon juice and sugar, it tasted fresh, tangy and ever so slightly sweet. I really enjoyed it! Vicki opted for Apples and Pears, made with pear vodka, Ambrato martini, ginger, lime juice, pineapple juice, apple juice and egg white. This one was fresh, fruity and a little bit creamy. I would happily order either of those again. I also like the idea of a Cocktail Roulette at No11 where you order 2 surprise cocktails for 22 euros, 3 for 32 or 4 for 40. That would be a fun thing to do for a date with a group of friends! This place has some fantastic views of the port which makes it super popular and so the reservations are essential. If you are not keen on sitting outside in the melting heat, you will be pleased to know that they have a “kick ass aircon” in their middle floor! See you there!
