This Christmas season, Mallorca is set to dazzle with festive markets, illuminated streets, and vibrant events. Palma’s iconic light display will brighten the city, while local villages prepare artisan fairs and traditional concerts. See what's on offer this festive season and get in to the Chistmas spirit!

Palma Christmas Train ➡ December 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st, 23rd, 27th, and 28th, as well as January 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, 2025

The Palma Christmas Train will operate two different routes: one departing from Plaza de la Reina, passing through iconic city landmarks such as Calle Conquistadora, Paseo de Se Borne, Jaime III, Paseo Mallorca, and Via Roma; and another starting from Plaza Abu Yahya, traveling along streets like 31 de Diciembre, Avenida Comte Sallent, and General Riera. The service runs from 5pm to 9pm, with departures approximately every 25 minutes, and the final train leaving at 8.40pm.

  • On December 6, Musicart Lloseta will sing in Jardins del Rei.
  • On December 7, Cor Cantarte and Cor Fundació Sa Nostra will perform in Plaça de la Porta Pintada.
  • Cor Musicantes de Mallorca will appear in Plaça del Mercat on December 12, followed by Cor Escénico Optimus on the December 13 in the same location.
  • On December 14, Cor d'Adults de Sant Francesc will perform on Sant Miquel Street.
  • Cor de Pollença will bring their music to Can Pastilla (Plaça de l'Església) on December 18.
  • Passeig del Born will host Cor Àgora Portals on December 20, Cor de Dones Sant Francesc d'Inca on December 21, and Motown Christmas and Grupo Coral on December 22.
  • On December 23, the Son Dameto Choir will perform in Plaça de Cort, while the UIB Women's Choir will sing in Can Pastilla (Plaça de l'Església).
  • The Choir of the Universitat Oberta per a Majors will perform on Carrer Sant Miguel on December 27, and the Cor Ciutat de Mallorca will conclude the series in Plaça de la Porta Pintada on December 28.

The Hideaway Christmas Fayre ➡ Sunday 8 December

Celebrate Santa Lucia in Palma’s Cathedral ➡ Friday, December 13

For a few hours, Palma’s Cathedral will be transported to the icy lands of Scandinavia. In front of more than 1,400 people, the students of the Swedish School of Mallorca will hold their traditional concert of Saint Lucia, the Christian martyr born in Syracuse at the end of the 3rd century, a recital that marks the start of the Christmas festivities. Every December 13, a concert is organised in the schools which has been held for more than 25 years. First they did it in the Plaça de Cort and, since 2017, when the school reached half a century, they have held the recital inside the church. Santa Lucia is an extremely important day across Scandinavia and in other countries.

Raïm Wine Fest Xmas Edition ➡ Saturday 14 December

The 10th edition of the RAÏM Wine Fest is taking place on December 14 in Costitx from 1pm to 1am! Enjoy wines from 12 wineries at the Plaça del Jardí from 1pm to 1am. Entry is free, and wine tasting starts at just €3 per glass (+€2 for the glass itself). The festival features live music by Guiu Cortés (El Niño de la Hipoteca), Cobie, Forró Do Pulpo, DJ Esburbat, and Peptronik. Santa's come to Palma ➡ Saturday 14 December

The Christmas Rata Market returns to Palma ➡ Saturday 20 December

The Christmas Rata Market returns to the Palau de Congressos in Palma from December 20 to 22, celebrating its 10th anniversary! Port Adriano Winter Park ➡ December 20 to January 7

Port Adriano’s Christmas Winter Park offers fun for all ages. Enjoy skating on Mallorca’s largest ecological ice rink (300m²) or glide down a giant 3-meter-high, 30-meter-long slide. Entry and rentals are free. Open daily from 12pm to 8pm (4pm closure on December 24 and 31), the park also features food stalls and festive visits from Father Christmas and King Melchor.

Christmas Candlelit Carols ➡ December 20

Pueblo Español Christmas Market ➡ November 28 to December 22

The Christmas Market at Pueblo Español in Mallorca is a festive highlight, running from November 28 to December 22. It transforms into a winter wonderland with dazzling lights, vibrant decorations, and over 100 artisan stalls offering unique handcrafted gifts like ceramics, textiles, and jewelry. Visitors can indulge in international and traditional treats such as paella, churros, and mulled wine while enjoying live music, carol singing, and dance performances. A ticket includes a complimentary Glühwein or hot chocolate. The market is open from 12pm to 11pm. Open days: November 28, 29, 30, and December 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, and 22. The Palma Ice Skating Rink & Snow Park ➡ November 22 to January 7

Palma’s Ice Park Mallorca will be open from November 22, 2024, to January 7, 2025. Located in Parc de Ses Estacions, it offers 260m² of skating fun daily from 10am to 10pm. Gloves are required. 8€ per person for a 25 minute pass. The Parque de Nieve offers natural snow play for kids, including castle and snowman building, with 5€ for 20-minute sessions, boots provided.

Christmas Wreath Workshop & Brunch ➡ Saturday 30 November; Saturday 7 December & Saturday 14 December

Puerto Portals Xmas Market ➡ Friday, December 13 to Monday, January 6

The Christmas Market in Puerto Portals is set for December. With over forty charming wooden stalls adorned with festive lights and fir trees, the market brings the true essence of Christmas to the port. You’ll find a wide array of high-quality products, from holiday decorations and accessories to wooden toys and other unique gifts. Visitors can also enjoy a delicious variety of food offerings. Christmas in Calvia

Christmas activities begin with the traditional Mercat de Nadal (Christmas Market) in Santa Ponsa, marking the start of almost four weeks of festivities. It will take place at the Polideportivo de Santa Ponsa between Friday 6 and Sunday 8 December.

At the Paguera auditorium, enjoy a Christmas Gala on Sunday, December 15, a circus show with rhythmic juggling on Saturday, December 21, and the "Dance Experience" performance by Compañía Ibérica de Danza on Sunday, December 29.

The Municipal Music Band will present a Christmas Concert at Sa Societat in Calvia on Sunday, December 22.

The Parc de Nadal, held at the Galatzó Sports Centre from December 27 to 30, offers children games, attractions, craft workshops, and musical shows. Admission is 2 euros per person, or 6 euros per family. This year’s proceeds benefit the Duchenne Association in the Balearic Islands, supporting research to improve life for those affected by Duchenne, including three-year-old Lleó Páez from Son Ferrer. Hours are 4pm to 8pm on December 27 and 10am to 2pm - 4pm to 8pm on December 28, 29 and 30.

Young residents of Calvia can enjoy their own “last night” celebration with a pre-bell ringing event at Es Generador on Friday, December 20 from 7pm to 1am.

The Hidrobal Sant Silvestre Calvianera, a beloved and festive New Year's Eve race on the island, will take place on December 31 at 5 pm at the Magaluf athletics track. Participants can enjoy chocolate and ensaimadas and are encouraged to come in fancy dress.

Ring in the New Year with an unforgettable celebration at the Galatzó Sports Centre! Starting at 12.30am and lasting into the early morning, the party will feature a mix of popular 80s and 90s hits along with current favorites for all ages. A 3D photo booth will be available to capture memorable moments, and, as with last year, shuttle buses will be provided for easy access to the event.

The Christmas season concludes with the arrival of the Three Wise Men on January 5 in Palmanova. Arriving by boat at 6pm, they’ll parade along Passeig de la Mar, delighting children with magic and cheer. Royal letter boxes will be available throughout Calvia for children’s letters.
