At a conference and recruitment day at the Balearics School of Hospitality in Palma on Tuesday, hotel groups on the islands considered means of avoiding problems with shortages of qualified personnel that they experienced last summer. One way of doing this will be to return to what was once commonplace - rooms in hotels to be reserved for employees.

Or just pay them more. The salaries in mallorca are poor anyway so just pay the staff more. This island really seems to feed the greed in people.
Going back to the way it used to be before the hoteliers got greedy and decided the give all their rooms to tourists. In the 60's, 70's and 80's it was the norm that the staff got a salary, accommodation and food.
