NO ANTI-SEMITISM WHATSOEVER

So, David Lee, Majorca's resident Zionist apologist, has done it yet again. He faults Ray Fleming for telling about Israel's attack on the BBC for repeating their Israeli atom bomb story on BBC World, wordwide, instead of just in Britain, as before. The Israeli spokesman (Donald Seaman) said the programme was “anti–semitic”. Israel has threatened the BBC with a complete boycott and non–cooperation, somewhat similarly to the way they treated CNN after “offensive” reports on Israel's behaviour in the Occupied Territories. The programme centred mainly on Mordecai Vanunu, the Israeli whistleblower who was kidnapped in Rome, and has so far been in prison for 16 years, 11 of which were in solitary confinement. It mentioned that Israel has up to 200 nuclear bombs (Britain has only about 185) and a secret chemical/biological institute at Nes Ziona. It also mentioned a mystery gas attack on Gaza two years ago. The programme was surely pertinent at a time when we have just been to war and wrecked a country, in the name of limiting “Weapons of Mass Destruction”, which have not been found.

Any reading of the transcript of the broadcast will show no “Anti–Semitism” whatsoever. Almost all the interviewees, except two Americans who have “adopted” Mordecai Vanunu, were themselves Israelis. It is a myth that only Jews are Semitic. “Semitic” is only a language grouping of Amharic, Arabic, Hebrew , Aramaic and Syriac. For some, it is also a racial or ethnic group. For Israel; this would mean that “anti–Semitic” might also cover insults or attacks on Arabs, Ethiopians, Lebanese Christians, etc., and Israelis like to use it exclusively for anything bad said about Israelis (or Jews), or their actions. Another myth is of tiny little Israel, beset on all sides, by millions of monsters wishing to massacre them all. This is rubbish, and David Lee should be ashamed of parrotting such propaganda.. Which is the only nation in recent history (since Soviet Russia) to have attacked and occupied parts of all four of its neighbours? Which has the atom bombs, plus a secret biological/chemical establishment at Nes Ziona? Who are the terrorists? B'Tselem (an Israeli organisation) reports killings in the current “uprising” (from 29/9/2000 to 21/6/03) 2072 Palestinians - including 192 aged 15 or under, and “at least” 109 assassinations during which 75 innocent bystanders were killed. 743 Israelis killed, of whom 93 were minors under 18, 189 were colonists in the Occupied territories, and 233 were soldiers. Who gets $3 billion per year in mostly military aid from the US? Which is the only country in the world where any foreigner can get automatic citizenship only if his mother was of a certain religion? Who has actually pushed people “into the sea” from Palestine? However, I would like to read “Hatred's Kingdom” by Dore Gold. The very title sounds thoroughly “Anti–Semitic” if it refers to Semitic speakers or persons. Gold was one of Sharon's “spokesmen” you may remember him he was the one who looked like a balding Hitler. He may well have a very intimate knowledge of Saudi Arabia and Islam. Perhaps Mr. Lee would care to lend it to me.
