Dear Sir, ON a recent visit to our favourite holiday destination the Island of Majorca we were quite disgusted to see a shop in Can'Pastilla offering for sale baseball bats with european club colours and motifs on them, surely in our difficult times of yobs and violent actions that this type of product being offered for sale is totally unacceptable. Peter Mulheron, Dundee, Scotland. IT is getting tiresome to see Ray Fleming's automatic knee-jerk anti-American /President Bush response whenever the latter's name appears. We all know the President's views on Democracy and his belief that Russia should embrace it more fully and finally ditch the old KGB mentality that still exists in that country. But for Mr.Fleming to carp, as he did in the last paragraph yesterday, that if Mr. Bush does not like what is happening in Russia he should stay away from the summit, is kindergarten politics, childish in the extreme, not worthy of an answer. Mr.Fleming should recall the classic phrase uttered by Voltaire, “I disapprove of what you say, but I will fight to the death your right to say it.”

Dear Sir,
Phil Green, Nova Santa Ponsa.
