TO pound sterling which is losing value against the euro. The pound has dropped more than five pence over recent weeks against the single currency dealing a blow to Majorca. If this trend continues British tourists will be spending less when they come on holiday to Majorca this summer. A strong pound is good for the island; it helps both the tourist industry and the real estate market. Let us hope that this is just a short term problem and sterling will soon start to recover.
