Is Spanish Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, who has been accused of receiving money from a secret Partido Popular “slush” fund. The Prime Minister called a press conference yesterday to deny the allegations which have appeared in two Spanish newspapers. Rajoy has said that a full investigation will be carried out. But many in Spain are not convinced. Hundreds of politicians have been arrested in Spain over recent months and charged with fraud and misappropriating government funds. The allegations against Rajoy have made headline news across the globe. It has added even greater pressure on Spain at a time when its economy is still deep in recession and with almost six million people jobless.
