...for Lily Allen who won three top prizes at the Ivor Novello awards for British songwriting this week. One of the three was for The Fear which she said is so much about feeling lost in a lot of ways but all of a sudden this has made me feel found. The Ivors are among the least publicised but most respected of awards in the business. Classical composer Peter Maxwell Davis was another winner for doing absolutely what I bloody well wanted to do, as he put it.
