Islam forbids all other religions because they are all wrong and therefore heretical. Similarly Orthodox Jews believe that the Torah holds all the religious truths one needs so one must not enquire elsewhere. Fundamental Christians likewise ignore both the Torah and the Koran as well as all other holy books save theirs. All three reject the evolution theories of Science.
Some of your readers may remember the time of Franco when the building of Christian churches other than Catholic was forbidden here. Islam has no monopoly on intolerance and fanaticism.
