Dear Sir, WHEN reading of the gallant efforts of the young man who pulled people out of the water from the burning yacht, to read he had performed similar acts on two previous occasions, makes me wonder if the local authorities should not officially acknowledge such outstanding actions. After all, government and local authorities I have noticed over the years in Majorca, love to give out medals, plaques, and awards (very often to each other), so to make one for bravery or serving the community in such a way, may be a nice change from politicians giving these awards to each other or their friends/backers.
Also, as I understand, Marcus Van Brabant is a student, a few thousand euros from the grateful group of businessmen saved, would not go amiss with someone studying at university. I would think so, but do politicians and/or fat cats really care?
Yours sincerely.
