By Jason Moore WOULD someone please take responsibility for the metro fiasco. It has only been open for six months and already it has flooded three times. The metro is now closed while urgent repairs are carried out but the blame game has just started. The new Balearic government, under Francesc Antich, blames the previous administration of the Partido Popular while they blame the Palma Water Board, who inturn has blamed both the last local government and the present government for the disaster. Well, that is fine then, no-one is willing to take responsibility. Well, I think all three are to blame; the last local government rushed through the project so that it would open for the last elections, the new government failed to take the necessary action when it flooded the first time and the Palma Water Board shouldn't have allowed the metro to open if they had known it would flooded. Well, all I would say is that this project has cost in excess of 150 million euros and it is rapidly making the local authorities into a laughing stock. The best thing they can do is admit that they made a big mistake.

All party support is needed to resolve this problem and instead of blaming everyone in sight the local authorities should work together and try and salvage some pride.
