F OR the footballer Carlos Tevez whose mutiny on the good ship City of Manchester surely warranted instant dismissal. Tevez, an Argentinian forward whose wavy runs with the ball at his feet are exhilarating to watch, has always been a difficult team player and his refusal to accept his manager's request that he take the field as a substitute went beyond even his normal unreliabilty. Perhaps his excess will lead to a general review of players' contracts and responsibilties. It is overdue.
