Dear Sir,
In reply to Nina Balls letter in today’s paper I have to say that I firmly reject her conclusions especially in relation to the hotels on the Paseo Maritimo. My wife and I have been coming to Majorca for many years and the Paseo Maritimo with its amazing vistas are simply stunning. You will not find that in Dubai!
We have stayed in the Melia Palas Atenea for several years and whilst there is not a lot you can do, with frontage continual upgrading of the rooms and salons it shows a high level of reinvestment by the hotel.
If you don’t want to drive then there are plenty of up market hotels and boutique hotels within a short distance of the centre of Palma.
Mrs Balls investigations are somewhat lacking and she needs to get out more.
