The Year 4 children at Queen's College have been enjoying their summer topic "Our Ocean Planet". The children went on an excursion with Save The Med where they learnt about plastic pollution and how they could help.

Year 4 participated in a beach clean in Calvia followed by a talk about microplastics and a microplastic hunt. In art, they maintained the ocean theme and created some fantastic seaside art.

In literacy the Y4 students have enjoyed reading "The Butterfly Lion" by Michael Morpurgo; they worked in teams to create a joint mural of a lion. The children demonstrated excellent communication and problem solving skills to achieve this.

The Nursery children have been designing woodland homes; they looked at ways they could make bark rubbings with crayon.

Splish splash!

The children in Nursery, Reception, Years 1 and 2 started their summer swimming programme at the Queen's Centre; they love the water activities and are making wonderful progress with their water activities.

Year 2 children visit Natura Park

The children and teachers were keeping their fingers tightly crossed that the rain clouds would blow away last Tuesday … and they did!

The Year 2 pupils loved their visit to Natura Park, they saw lots of interesting animals and discovered so many unusual facts about them.
