DEAR SIR

TWO days ago not far from the Cathedral, in the pleasant walkway to the centre I encountered/viewed pickpockets at work. These appeared to be central European women. They had bunches of ‘good luck' leaves which they had clearly picked from the trees. They stopped mainly slightly older men placing one of these ‘posies' in a top pocket and attempting to get him to pay. Whilst the wallet was out to give a few coins they distracted the owner and slipped their fingers into the back of the wallet extracting notes. We shouted at them to stop, but they came over pretending that they had only taken a couple of coins. The visitors proceeded in total oblivion to what had happened. The thieves moved away from the area fast...

Be warned
