Frank Leavers mentioned in his column that possibly 25% of Spain's GDP is black money, i.e. money that the authorities and politicians haven't been able to get their grubby little hands on. He suggests that this is not the right way to run things. I disagree.
If it weren't for the submerged economy there would be rioting in the streets as the authorities are already trying to do their best in bankrupting any legal businesses which are still making any money.
Also, seeing how they misspend any tax money that's left after they have stolen what they can, I think that the public should spend it in the open market therefore increasing consumption which is what politicians are crying out for us to do.
Nobody is going to steal or misspend their own money, are they ?
