We have recently received a letter from the Ajuntamiento de Palma advising us that all properties are to be revalued (!).
This is obviously a money raising exercise on their part.
May I remind the powers that be who thought this up that in the present climate of crisis (including the rise in IVA, electricity, petrol etc.) that not only can folks not afford to pay their mortgages or sell their houses, a lot of people are unable to feed their families and pay their normal bills. Indeed, there is a house for sale nearby that has been reduced in price at least four times during the time it has been on the market, and it still has not sold.

It would seem that the Ajuntamiento does not take account of these things before coming up with these hair-brained ideas.
