Perhaps Mr Carter (Letters to the Editor, 27 September) should invest in an English dictionary.
The one I use defines pleb' as an insulting word for an ordinary person.' People like Andrew Mitchell and former English football captain John Terry, who also used an insulting word, make me feel ashamed of being British.
