TO King Juan Carlos of Spain who celebrated his 75th birthday yesterday. The King played a vital role in steering Spain towards democracy after the death of dictator General Franco in 1975. He has also helped make Spain, what it is today; a modern European country. King Juan Carlos gave a television interview to mark his birthday in which he expressed regret at the high level of unemployment and the fact that many young people were being forced to move abroad because of the lack of jobs prospects in their own country. Spain should be very proud of their monarch and what he has achieved. He is also the best ambassador for his country. A great man and a great King.
