FOR this year's BBC's coverage of the 2011 Wimbledon tennis. The tendency to give as much attention to cameo scenes of the spectators as to the games in progress has never been more apparent. It would be interesting to know what protocol the camera teams follow. An artistic montage of cloud formations is acceptable as is the spectacular distant view from Wimbledon Hill to the Tower of London, but canoodling couples and nose-picking individuals should be banned.
