For the small army of police officers, soldiers firefighters, pilots and volunteers who were busy last night trying to extinguish the enormous forest fire in Andraitx. It is one of the biggest fires Majorca has seen in many years and yesterday the fire was spreading to surrounding areas of Andraitx. Residents, who had been evacuated from their homes, praised the police and firefightersfor their professionalism and hard work. One reader said yesterday; they are all heroes.
