By Jason Moore MAJORCA is blessed with the fact that it attracts some real heavyweights in their fields. People such as rugby star Jonny Wilkinson and airline chief Sir Michael Bishop have all been singing the island's praises in Bulletin interviews.

And as we know there are many more.
However, I believe that the local government and local authorities should take advantage of all the advice which is offered by these people.
Sir Michael Bishop, who helped pioneer tourism to this island, believes, that Majorca should try and attract more U.S. and Canadian holidaymakers to the island. A very good idea and the local authorities should take note.

Jonny Wilkinson says that he wants to learn Spanish and spend more time on the island after England retain the World Cup (!!!!) He could be a great ambassador for Majorca.

It is quite amazing that all the people you meet, including many captains of industry and sports stars, all share something in common, their love for Majorca.

In the same way as Gordon Brown has created a committee for business consisting of a number of top names, I believe Majorca should follow suit. This wealth of talent is at the moment being wasted!!!.
