By Jason Moore IT is approaching crunch time for the sale of Real Mallorca. British businessman Paul Davidson has until September 1 to either buy the club or walk away. Davidson has said that he has made his decision and the finance is there and the only thing outstanding is an audit of the club books which is being undertaken at the moment. In an extensive interview with the Observer over the weekend, he outlined his plans for Real Mallorca; he has done likewise in most other British newspapers and media outlets. Never has Real Mallorca had so much publicity in Britain. But the clock is ticking and the sooner the sale of the club is completed the better because Real Mallorca needs to make some signings. Key players have been sold off and the transfer window is slowly starting to close. Davidson´s proposed purchase of Real Mallorca has been a major talking point on the island and everyone has an opinion. There are some who believe that he will walk away, there are others who say that he will transform Real Mallorca into a real-money spinner and change its fortunes. My personal view is that the next ten days will be crucial; Davidson could be the new owner of Real Mallorca by this time next week and a new era could be starting. It is going to be an interesting couple of weeks.
