FOR Danny Boyle, film director, theatrical producer and Opening Ceremony wizard whose original and arresting concept for the London Olympics produced widely differing opinions but united everyone in declaring that it was different. Too many Olympics Games in recent decades have simply tried to be more ambitious and expensive than their predecessors. Beijing was the ultimate in that ambition but Mr Boyle broke the sequence by provocatively presenting something to think about rather than just to look at.
