FOR Tariq Jahan, the father of one of the three men killed by suspected looters in Birmingham. As the incident threatened to unleash inter-ethnic revenge attacks Jahan stood on a wall and spoke to 150 Asian men: “I don't want there to be any more trouble, anyone getting hurt. I don't want any one of you to fight. My son died defending the community he lived in. We're part of this community, so please go home.” Mr Jahan's 21-year-old son had been with two other men who were among a group of about 80 Asians patrolling their local streets.
