THREE BOOS

... to the naysayers who are already claiming that next week's UN Climate Change conference in Cancun, Mexico, is doomed to failure and a waste of time and money. True, it is unlikely to reach a big deal because President Obama lacks Congressional authority to commit the US, the world's largest polluter, to significant emission controls. But lesser agreements can be made as part of a process that must be continued until a global commitment becomes unavoidable for the sake of future generations.
