FOR the London School of Economics, regarded as one of the world's most prestigious academic institutions, which was shown in a new report by a former Lord Chief Justice to have accepted 1.5 million pounds from a foundation set up by Saif al-Islam Gaddafi without due diligence and without the source of the money being established. Several senior academics at LSE have resigned or left since the extent of the Libyan influence at the School has emerged, among them Sir Howard Davies, its director.
