...for the violent intruders who probably were responsible for most of the destructive acts that took place during the students' protest march against increased tuition fees in London on Thursday. With demonstrations this size it is impossible for the organisers to monitor all participants but unless some form of control is exercised there will be calls for marches of this kind to be stopped. The police have a very difficult task but once again their techinque of kettling large numbers of people in a small area for many hours has been criticised.
