DEAR SIR

Christmas Fayre Puerto Portals
I would like to thank all of the people for their attendance on Sunday December 5th at the Christmas Fayre in Puerto Portals.
The day was a great success at every level, the weather was good, the attendance – over 5'000 people and all of the stall holders seemed to have had a good day.

Various people have enquired regarding the amount of money the charity stalls raised.
Unfortunately because of holidays, etc. it has been difficult to determine exactly how they did.
I can tell you though that Dr. Stoma's charity received donations in excess of 2'000 € and as we had eight other charity stalls present, I think we can assume that these other charities received a reasonable level of giving.

Equally important to the event being a success is the level of commitment given by Calvia Town Hall and the “Capitano” of the Port Authority for financial support and collaboration in holding the event.

Angela and the team at the department of Extranjeros worked really hard, before, during and after the event to ensure all went well on the day.
Santa Claus had a busy day and if any of your readers would like to donate new toys for boys and girls who may be facing a less than happy Christmas this year, would they please contact David at The Salvation Army with any gifts for onwards distribution.

Finally a big thank you from me to all of the singers and musicians who performed and entertained all of us so well on the day.
Thank you and a Happy Christmas

John Ballard
