Dear Sir,
From Wednesday’s Bulletin:
“In accordance with the new ruling, only sangria made in Spain and Portugal will be allowed to be sold under that name after the European Parliament green-lighted new wine labelling rules on Tuesday evening.”
May one now hope that the “drink” made near Madrid under the brand name of DYC Whisky and widely distributed in Spain will receive similar treatment? Having tasted it once, (and once only), any possibility that the name might in any way cause it to be mistakenly connected with Scotland is of great concern to those of a discerning palate.
