The British government needs to set out how it will unwind coronavirus border restrictions to give people the confidence to book flights after it introduced quarantine hotels, the head of easyJet said on Wednesday.

This makes a very good headline. But this isn't a one way street. Even if people can fly from the UK there has got to be countries who will accept them as visitors. Considering the state of the EU vaccination record these might be somewhat limited.
I don't get this, where do they imagine they'll fly to ? No other country will accept visitors until all their population have all been vaccinated surely. There'll only be UK flights nationally....
Lisa is a bore. Who cares about tourists? I live here and its never been better than the summer of 2020 without the British riff raff. I am hoping for more of the same this year.
Charles Walker head of the influential 1922 Committee has just blasted the UK Government for its policy on travel restrictions, on the BBC news. He was damming on the PM’s inability to control two senior minsters for giving contradictory messages and told him to get a grip on his Cabinet. Let’s hope Boris listens ... the government’s tough messaging and lack of hope is causing huge anxiety to many families. That said, even if the UK do get their act together, if the Balearic government don’t get a speedy and effective vaccination program organised - tourists won’t be heading here.
