The Mayor of Es Migjorn Gran yesterday approved plans for the third phase of the Sant Tomas urban development project to be carried out. This next construction stage involves the building of 1'059 apartments, 781 of which will be for tourists and 258 residential. The third stage covers an area of 256'895 square metres and will cost an estimated 238.5 million pesetas. The Mayor said that the project has been given the green light because, unlike other development projects in the area, the majority of the local residents are not opposed to the development going ahead and being completed.
