Majorcan all set for solo global yacht race

Javier Sanso will be the only Majorcan yachtsman taking part in this year's Vendee Globe 2000 solo round the world yacht race on board the yacht Old Spice which sets sails from the French port of Les Sables d´ Olonne on November 5. The 31-year-old Majorcan will be the first Spaniard to have taken part in the race since 1991. The Vendee Globe was created to meet the needs of sailors who wish to push themselves to the limit. It is both a sporting, technical and human adventure and an international competition that unites single–handed yachtsmen from all over the world who wish to test themselves in a non–stop round the world race.
