Balearic Chief Minister Francesc Antich yesterday praised a self defence anti-ETA terrorism protection manual which has been distributed to all of Spain's local government headquarters saying any politician could be a target for the terrorist organisation. Antich also said that the local Interior Minister is in contact with all the local authorities providing them with as much information as possible about how to combat ETA and any potential terrorist activities targeting public figures. Antich said that the manual has been put together by anti-terrorism experts, but he ruled out that the information booklets have not been sent to the Balearics in the wake of the threatening letters a number of leading local business people received from ETA demanding that they pay the revolutionary tax.
