Police are still hunting for the killer of a 17-year-old lad, who died yesterday after being admitted to Son Dureta hospital on Saturday night after having been severely beaten and shot in the head. Police are keeping the victim's identity secret for the moment and one of the lines of investigation detectives are following is that the motive for the attack was either revenge or that someone had a score to settle. The teenager's battered body was found last Saturday night by a neighbour in Calle Rullan in Palma, who had nipped out to take his dog for a walk. The youngster had been the victim of a severe beating, after which he was shot in the head. The police and paramedics rushed to the scene and the 17-year-old was taken to Son Dureta hospital. Doctors treated the youngster all weekend, but police confirmed that he died yesterday morning. This morning a full autopsy is to be carried out in order to establish the exact cause of death. Police in the meantime have launched a full scale investigation.
