The Easter fair has been open for some weeks, but the official opening took place yesterday, when the ribbon was cut by Mayor Joan Fageda, accompanied by Rafael Fernandez, president of the Fairground Attraction Owners Association, and Catalina Cirer, the government representative. And as in previous years, the fairground workers showed their generosity by offering the attractions free to local schoolchildren, many of them handicapped. The Mayor did more than just cut the ribbon. He personally tried out many of the attractions, taking a welcome break from his duties at city hall. The fair will be open until April 22.
