The Balearic government yesterday unveiled a 426'4 million pesetas road investment programme. The funding is to spread across Majorca, Ibiza and Minorca, the latter of which is in need of a complete overhaul of its ageing and potentially dangerous roads. The money will be spent on a wide range of improvements from new traffic lights along the treacherous stretch of road from Ibiza town to San Antonio, to renewing the pavement which runs between Mahon and Fornells in Minorca. In Majorca, the pavement between LLuchmajor and Aranjassa is to be replaced and new roundabouts built in Inca.
